Help! I haven’t filed my affidavit yet and I got a traffic ticket today.
Is there anything you can do to help me avoid paying the ticket?
Well, the short answer is no.
If you got the ticket before you changed your status, you will need to take care of it as a U.S. Citizen.
Once you have filed your affidavit and mailed your notices, it is imperative that you follow ALL traffic laws.
Also, it isn’t retroactive and anything that happened before filing will still need to be addressed as your status of U.S. Citizen.
